Apple Arcade Adds Award-Winning Hits DREDGE+, Unpacking+ and My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ to Growing Catalog in April
Fun updates are coming to popular games, including Disney SpellStruck, with new levels inspired by them Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back
Apple Arcade continues to expand its curated collection of over 200 family-friendly games, allowing players to enjoy uninterrupted play without ads and without in-app purchases. Three fun games will be added to the service on April 2, including indie gems, App Store Award winners, and beloved fan favorites.
Players can navigate the eerie waters DREDGE+the App Store Awards’ iPad Game of the Year for 2025; explore a life story in Unpack+winner of the Cultural Impact of the App Store Awards 2023; and cherish the beloved character of famed children’s author Eric Carle My very hungry caterpillar+.
DREDGE+ brings the complete edition of the critically acclaimed fishing adventure to Apple Arcade. This version includes all released DLC content: The Pale Reach, The Iron Rig, Blackstone Key and the custom rod. Players can experience the full breadth of this terrifying maritime journey as they traverse misty archipelagos, dredge treasures from the deep, and discover mysteries that lurk beneath the waves.
Recognized as a Cultural Impact Winner of the 2023 App Store Awards, Unpacking+ is a Zen puzzle game about the familiar experience of unboxing belongings and organizing them in a new home. Part block-matching puzzle, part home decor, Unpacking+ invites Arcade players to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the lives they piece together.
Based on the character that captured the hearts of millions, the multi-award winning and App Store “Best of” My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ lets players care for their own caterpillar. As players feed him, play with him, and explore his world, he grows and unlocks new activities, eventually spinning a cocoon and transforming into a beautiful butterfly. It brings Carle’s timeless story to life in a delightful, interactive experience that the whole family can enjoy.
Apple Arcade delivers more than just new releases; the service also offers players exclusive crossovers and updates that they can’t find anywhere else. The Star Wars saga continues on March 19 Disney SpellStruckwhich adds new Adventure Mode maps inspired by Episode V — The Empire Strikes Backalong with Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian as new playable characters.
On April 9 Puyo Puyo puzzle doll celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Puyo Puyo franchise by adding a brand new game mode, Puyo Puyo Garden. In a first for the series, players can grow, nurture and battle their own unique Puyo.

- Apple Arcade is available for $8.99 (CAD) per month with a one-month free trial. Customers who buy a new iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV will receive three months of Apple Arcade for free.1
